Reeves' Import Motors

Reeves' is a luxury car dealership that managed seven distinct brands. They are (in order of fanciness) Maserati, Porsche, BMW, Audi, Land Rover, VW, and Subaru. As a driver of used Suzuki Forenza, I got to sit in some of the nicest cars I've ever seen.

Working on Reeves' gave me familiarity with a family-based good-old-boy system of doing business and pitching creative. And, to be totally honest, some of the work was surprisingly fun. Since they focused so much on retail, much of the creativity was limited to headlines.

A lot of the work had to deliver a retail message that also maintained a brand feel of quality and luxury.

BMW owners (so I'm told) are looking for quality service. Reeves' big differentiator was the one-on-one service that they provided to their customers.

I really dug this headline. This was a piece that detailed Reeves' commitment to their customers. Turns out luxury car dealers really have a lot more at stake, so they amp up the charm more than your average used Kia salesperson.

A lot of the out-of-home work had to incorporate additional branding.

Audi's branding was much more aspirational. This line invited prospective owners to jump on board, and stop being such squares.
